Mother Nature might not be cooperating with giving us some major natural snow so far this season, but that is no reason not to strap on your skis and head on up to Vermont for a day of hitting the slopes. The southern ski areas are busy making snow and grooming the trails so you (hopefully) don't have to miss out on a day of skiing. Before you go check out the latest snow and ski conditions.
Mt Snow is located Dover, VT. They currently have 22 trails open and have received 2" of natural snow in the past few days. Their average base is a 10'' min with a max of 18". The Gulch Half Pipe is also up and running.

The Hermitage Club in Dover, VT is the largest private ski club on the east coast. They do have a number of fine properties that are open to the public. In Dover you'll find: The Hermitage Inn, The Inn at Sawmill Farm and The Snow Goose Inn. In Wilmington you'll find: The White House Inn, The Vermont House and the Brook Bound Inn. If you stay at any of these locations you are allowed to ski at the resort. As of today Haystack Mountain has 11 trails open with a min base of 12" and a max of 24". This weekends weather looks iffy , so please check out their snow report for current conditions.
Bromley Mountain in Peru, VT has 13 trails open. Their average base is 10" min with a max of 24". Although they have not had any recent snowfall, the snow guns are hard at work to keep the trails up and running.
The perfect place to stay while skiing at Bromley is The Lodge at Bromley where you can access the mountain right from your hotel room. After a day of being out on the slopes you ski right to their door where you can store your skis and warm up with a nice cup of hot chocolate by the fireplace.

Just a few miles away is Stratton Mountain Resort, in Stratton, VT. They have 32 trails open

Killington Resort located in Killington, VT has 44 trails open and has received 4" of natural snow in the last several days. Their minimum base right now is 6" with a maximum of 18". The Reason Half Pipe is open for all of the snowboarders out there.

Just a short drive away is Pico Mountain also located in Killington, VT. They currently have 3 trails open and received 4" of natural snow since January 2nd. Their average base is 6" min with a max of 12"

Lastly, we have Okemo Mountain Resort located in Ludlow, VT. They have 48 trails open right
now which is the most out of all of the Southern ski areas. Their average base is a minimum of 6" with a maximum of 12".
