St Albans Vermont is located on Route 7 in Franklin County, in the Islands & Farms region of Vermont. The town of St. Albans completely surrounds the city of St. Albans, which was separated from the town and incorporated in 1902.

I-89 passes through St Albans on its way between Burlington and Swanton, Vermont. The City of St Albans is only 15 miles from Vermont's border with Quebec and is the northern terminus of the "Vermonter" Amtrak route

St Albans, known as the "Maple Syrup Capital of the World" is home to the Vermont Maple Festival, held annually over the last weekend in April with exhibits, demonstrations, entertainment, a craft show, and more, all dedicated to maple syrup.
