Springfield Vermont is located just off I-91 at exit 7, in the Southern Windsor County region of Vermont. It is a four-season, full-service community, with a vibrant & historic downtown area, and is know as "Home of the Simpsons" after winning the Simpsons Home Town Movie Premier in 2007.

Springfield is home to Vermont's oldest one-room schoolhouse. Eureka Schoolhouse was built in 1785 and is located on VT Route 11 as you enter town from I-91. Springfield is also home to the Hartness Airport, and the Hartness House & Hartness-Porter Museum. James Hartness was the Governor of Vermont from 1921-1923, a leading amateur astronomer, and Vermont's first licensed pilot.

Springfield offers access to many recreational activities throughout the year, including a 3-mile long path known as "The Toonerville Trail" winding along the Black River. The Trail was built from an abandoned railroad corridor for walking, bicycling, rollerblading, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
