We Are
Vermont.

Sheldon is a town in Franklin County, in the Islands & Farms region of northern Vermont and contains the unincorporated village of Sheldon Springs.

Sheldon was originally named Hungerford for the chief grantee, Samuel Hungerford, a Connecticut resident. The land was bought by a man named Field, and then sold to Colonel Elisha Sheldon of Salisbury, Connecticut. After Colonel Sheldon moved to Vermont, the town's name was changed to Sheldon in 1792.

A notable person from the area was Bob Laraba (1933-1962), a professional and collegiate football player.
