Maidstone Vermont is a town in Essex County, located in the beautifully scenic Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, an area that National Geographic selected as part of their geotourism program for sustainable destinations.

Maidstone is one of the many towns granted to Samuel Averill of Connecticut. Although the permanent population is small, Maidstone Lake and State Forest attract many summer vacationers.
