Dorset

We Are
Vermont.

Dorset Vermont is a town on the northern border of Bennington County, in the southwestern region of Vermont. Dorset is noted as home to America's oldest marble quarry, and as the birth place of Alcoholics Anonymous co-founder Bill W. The Bill Wilson House and the Griffith Library can be found in East Dorset. Marble from the East Dorset quarry was provided for the New York Public Library Main Branch building in New York City.

Today, Dorset is primarily known as a summer place, with the Dorset Theatre Festival as one of Dorset's most well-known attractions. There is still plenty of activity during the winter, being about 30min to Bromley Mountain and only 15min to the Manchester shopping.
