Danville

We Are
Vermont.

Danville Vermont is a town in Caledonia County, west of St Johnsbury and I-91, in the beautiful and scenic "Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont, an area that National Geographic selected as part of their geotourism program for sustainable destinations. It is said that the town's name was in honor of Jean Baptiste Bourguignon d'Anville, France's royal cartographer for over 60 years.

Some notable people from Danville include: the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated star of "Guiding Light," Beth Chamberlin; arachnologist Arthur M. Chickering; soldier Henry Leavenworth; and Pennsylvania congressman Thaddeus Stevens.
