Averill

We Are
Vermont.

Averill Vermont is located on Great Averill Pond, near the Canadian Border, in the beautiful and scenic "Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont, an area that National Geographic selected as part of their geotourism program for sustainable destinations.

The town of Averill was never formally incorporated, having never gained a large enough permanent population. In the 2000 census, Averill's population was 8, dropping from 20 in 1950.

Activities for the area include lumbering and hunting, or enjoying Forest Lake, sometimes called Quimbys Lake after the family which operates a summer resort there.
