Oakledge Park is located in the South End of Burlington, nestled along the shores of Lake Champlain, allowing for beautiful waterfront views. It is home to TWO beach areas – Blanchard Beach and the Cove. Within the park, there are two large shelters that are available to rent from May to October, two public beaches, a playground, the world’s first accessible tree house, walking trails, tennis, bocce and volleyball courts, charcoal grills, picnic tables, bathrooms and lots of open grassy areas for you to enjoy.

Parking
May to October, $2/hour (Sunrise to Sunset). Pay at kiosk. Burlington Parks Season Passes and Green Mountain Passes*  are accepted.

You can purchase a Burlington Parks pass at North Beach and Perkins Pier.

*Green Mountain Passes are issued through VT State Parks and available for purchase at City Hall.  If you are 62 years or older and a Vermont resident, or a Vermont resident who is a veteran who has been honorably discharged from active duty in US armed services, you are eligible for a lifetime day entry pass into the parks called the Green Mountain Passport.

Paddle Rentals
During the summer months, Paddlesurf Champlain rents stand-up paddle boards at Oakledge Park and provides lessons.

Oakledge Shelters
Nestled on the shore of beautiful Lake Champlain are rentable shelters at Oakledge. They are suitable to host gatherings of up to 70 or 80 people such as birthday parties, company picnics and family/friend reunions with access to the following amenities:

  • Picnic Tables
  • Restrooms
  • Electricity
  • Charcoal Grill
  • Trash Cans
  • Direct access to 9 miles of bike path
  • Waterfront Views
  • Public Beach Access
The shelter is available to rent with full amenities from mid-May to mid-September and can be rented by the half day or the full day.

Free Wi-Fi is made available by Burlington Telecom
